Review

During WW II the controversial German author Ernst Junger was stationed in Paris as an officer in the German army. During the occupation the novelist/philosopher, who had Pablo Picasso and Jean Cocteau as his friends, kept a diary. The film is based on his war diaries and brings out the contrast between his contemplations and the coverage of the war.
