Bae Changho dreams of himself as a natural person.
Before the film starts, we wonder if this is a film about the director Bae Chang-ho that we know. Yet, it is indeed a show, even a shocking one. There’s no logic here for us to understand. The film’s true face lies in the bizarre narrative about terrible family history, desire to kill, anger and despair over filmmaking (or acting), the facial expressions of the schizophrenic characters, and the disturbing rhythms that embrace it all.
