The film depicts the story of a boy who wants to become a girl in a fresh and unique way. The boy decides to compete in a Korean wrestling tournament to win a cash prize for his sex reassignment surgery. He joins a high-school wrestling team for hard training. At home, he is abused by his alcoholic father. The directors took a light and humorous approach to these serious issues and showed comical determination that could exceed brutal realities. Most of the characters in the film show some defects, which represent the directors’ love for humanity. [KIM Youngjin]
