Review

During the second term at the Film School, Roy Andersson made the student film To Fetch a Bike, a moving color film that in somewhat sketchy scenes describes the morning activities of a tentative young pair of lovers.

Roy ANDERSSON 
Roy Andersson was born in 1943 in Goteborg, Sweden. His film A Pigeon Sat on a Branch Reflecting on Existence won the Golden Lion at the 71st Venice Film Festival, and his previous works have also been introduced at the Cannes and Venice Film Festival. Whenever he presented his new films, they have caused controversies on human existence, and he finished his new work About Endlessness (2019) recently. In his photographic career as well as filmmaking, Andersson exhibits sharp insights on modernity and modern human beings. Thus, he has been called auteur of introspection since the 1990s, offering insights into human beings.
