Roy Andersson was born in 1943 in Goteborg, Sweden. His film A Pigeon Sat on a Branch Reflecting on Existence won the Golden Lion at the 71st Venice Film Festival, and his previous works have also been introduced at the Cannes and Venice Film Festival.
