Overview

An unpredictable documentary from a fascinating storyteller, Agnes Varda’s new feature documentary sheds light on her experience as a director, bringing a personal insight to what she calls “cine-writing”. The “Queen of French Cinema” Agnes Varda left her last documentary following her Academy Award nominated sensation Faces Places(2017).

Review

Beginning with the masterclass held by Agnes Varda, the most outstanding female director and French director, the film directly explains her career and the world through her films. The images of her important keywords make us spontaneously think that a long life is necessary to complete a film. Moreover, the last scene in the film sums Varda's cinema up in itself, just as she knew that this film would be her posthumous work. [LEE Sang-yong]
