Heasoo goes to a woodland burial place with Hanbi´s family on the anniversary of Hanbi´s death. They face different memories about Hanbi on their trip. Haesoo slowly rolls her eyes remembering Hanbi.
She is on her way to Hanbi, who passed away three years ago. Unlike the bright weather, a shadow falls on Haesoo’s face while she drives the car. Hanseong, her ex-boyfriend, and Hanbi’s younger brother sit in the passenger seat, and his mother Jingyeong is in the back. The three people keep telling different stories about the dead man. In the heavy tension, Haesoo recalls the light she made with him. They attached broken glass pieces and placed them under the light. Then the darkroom started shining like stars in the night sky. Now she collects broken pieces and creates a new light. For her, it is a form of art and her best way of mourning. She recalls the bright scene of the past and writes a letter to Hanbi. When someone who experienced loss strives to recall the “lingering memory,” the voice of the dead slowly returns in the form of light. (CHA Hanbi)
