Daughter of intellectuals militants, disappeared by the last military dictatorship that crossed Argentina. Rather than recovering the figures of her parents, Carri stages the impossibility of cinema to reconstruct the irreparable.
An autobiographical story of the director Albertina Carri. She made a film tracking the traces of her parents that were kidnapped by the military regime. One actor stands in front of the camera on behalf of the director and interviews the villagers at the time to find out what had really happened to the director when she was four years old. This challenge presents a form in which the world of reality continues to collide with the world of fiction and offers the audience the impossibility of reproducing the past through the way “memory” works and the documentary production process. Although it is experimental and not fiction or documentary, the film does not lose the joy of co-creation from start to finish even when there is no clear answer and filmmaking involves difficulties.
