Review

In the early days of the COVID-19 crisis, Italy was one of the countries along with China and Korea to have the most damage. The First Wave. Milan in the time of Covid-19 is a documentary showing the daily lives of the citizens when the city of Milan went under complete lockdown. Shooting collectively and editing afterward has become the epitome of making films in the COVID-19 era. This film was also edited and put together into a story using the footage shot by 57 directors and producers living in Milan. Watching the diverse images of numerous citizens in various spaces such as houses, restaurants, streets, and boats is fun. The film reminds the viewers that ultimately people need to live together. The First Wave. Milan in the time of Covid-19 is scheduled to be presented at JEONJU IFF’s Street Screening, a new event launched this year. (MOON Seok)
