Etienne, an often out of work but endearing actor, runs a theater workshop in a prison, where he brings together an unlikely troupe of prisoners to stage Samuel Beckett’s famous play Waiting for Godot.
Etienne is an actor who is often out of work. He gives acting lessons to prisoners. He started his theater workshop to make money, but soon he discovers an unlikely talented troupe of prisoners. Impressed by the prisoners, soon he comes up with a gallant plan to have them perform on a stage outside of the prison. He persuades the officials and finally takes the prisoners on a tour of Waiting for Godot. They make a tremendous success and their last performance is scheduled at the Odéon Theatre, the French monument dedicated to theatrical performances. Will their last performance be a big hit?
Actor and filmmaker Emmanuel Courcol effectively shows the growing relationship and solidarity between the out-of-work actor and the in this film based on a true story.
