Cabdriver Yeojin plans to leave Korea and start a new life with her daughter in China. On departure day, she heads for the airport with her friend Juhee when a sudden incident makes a mess of their journey.
Yeojin’s journey to the airport to meet her daughter in China is quite chaotic. Juhee, who was sitting next to her, insisted on meeting her boyfriend. Starting then, things went wrong and kept getting worse. This film, which won the FIWOM Award at the 2018 Film Festival for Women’s Right in Seoul, follows a woman’s thoughts on her life’s true ‘freeway’ through the relationships with a child, lover, and same-sex friends. In terms of subject matter and theme, it is interesting compared to director Hwang Seul-gi’s sequel Good Day. (MOON Seok)
