Dio, a teenage boy who works at a movie theater, lives with his father, Ray, who works as a night guard at a shopping mall. They rarely see each other since their work hours differ, and they don’t talk much. Moreover, they have grown more distant due to Ray’s violence and the divorce with his wife. Dio has a crush on Anna, who is new at the theater, but Anna shows no interest in him. Meanwhile, Ray believes that his wife will come back to him, but she tells him that she is leaving for mainland China with her new husband. In the end, Ray, who has a lot of gambling debt, cannot help making an extreme choice. From their working environments to living conditions and emotional statuses, Ray and Dio were already practicing a social distance regardless of the COVID-19 pandemic. The scene in which Dio looks at Ray with a pitiful gaze as Ray struggles to look for the ashes of his ancestors without knowing that they have already been moved to somewhere else is an impressive scene of this film. Raydio makes us look forward to the future works of director Zhan Kaidi, who made his feature-length directorial debut with this film, as well as Lin Ju (Ray) and Huan Shao-Yang (Dio), whose performances draw the audience.
