Sami, who lives in Jerusalem, returns to his hometown of an Arabic village in Israel with his wife and children for his brother's wedding. He feels uncomfortable with undue attention from those who are curious about his life in Jerusalem. Because of work and his lover, he tries to head back to Jerusalem before the wedding is over, but the Israeli army suddenly besieges the village, rendering him unable to leave. After a series of events take place in the village, Sami learns about conflicts and class divisions within the Arabic community. It includes his own contradictions of exploiting Palestinian workers while trying to protect them and his own irrationality of deceiving his wife but refusing to stop his affair. Maintaining a restrained and dry tone, the film sharply satirizes the irrationalities of the Arabic community in Israel. [PARK Jin-hee]
