Review

Legendary visual essayist Artavazd Pelechian returns with a new film for the first time in 27 years. Asserting that the language of cinema was already in existence before human languages, he had demonstrated the intuitive power of images through his previous works. With the magical rhythm of his editing, what seems to be holy and peaceful nature turns into scenes of terrifying disasters that mercilessly wipe out man-made systems, rendering people helpless in front of nature and leading us to experience overwhelming joy at the same time. With his latest work, Pelechian once again verifies his stance that cinema is language. [Sung MOON]
