The Moon: Lee Pei-Jing told to me to film her physical therapy. After being paralyzed since the age of 23, her lower body finally started to have feelings and hurt over the past two years. The Tree: Chang Feng reminds me of a tree that gets more charming and dashing as he ages.
Lee Pei-Jing, who rose to fame with her pop hit “I Love the Moon,” is in rehabilitation after a surgical operation went wrong. She practices small physical movements while dreaming of returning to the stage. Chang Feng, a veteran actor who has worked in film and television for 70 years since 1950, is a tree-like character; he passed away on February 9, 2022, at the age of 98, after appearing in this film. Through these two Taiwanese artists, Tsai Ming-Liang proves that cinema is an art that embraces time. [Sung MOON]
