The stop motion animation The Wolf House (2018) was the directors’ former work which drew a lot of attention. Once again for The Bones, they use animation to describe the horrifying past of Chile and tell the story of the “first animation.” It is made with 16mm film and is distinctive in the material characteristic of animation. Ari Aster, the director of Midsommar (2019), supported the film as the main producer. [Sung MOON]
