In Blood is White, the director uses the surgical precision of a thermal camera to remove all the folklore that covers a bullfight. What was once known as a national ritual turns into a macabre dance, and all that remains before you is the ritual of death.
In 1816, Francisco Goya made La Tauromaquia, comprised of 33 prints about the faith of the bulls in the ring, with a burning enthusiasm in his later years. The film imports the impression from the 33 prints and captures the moments where grace and violence intersect in the bullrings through thermal cameras. [Sung MOON]
