Review

In a quiet seaside village, Fumi works in a small textile mill, attends anonymous alcoholics meetings, and is friendly with neighboring boy Kohei. One night, on her way home, Fumi gets into an accident when a small meteorite falls into her car, but she believes the odds of that happening are one in a billion, which is a good sign. Meanwhile, Goro, who suffers personal pain while working as a dentist in Tokyo, moves to the village and works on a construction site. The two meet by chance in the park when Goro is playing the grass flute. In this way, the two talk carefully and gradually get closer. A gentle but warm love story of a middle-aged man and woman living with their own pain, starring Kobayashi Satomi, famous for Kamome Shokudo (2006), and Matsushige Yutaka, who is familiar with Solitary Gourmet, Midnight Diner (2015), is the latest film from veteran director Hirayama Hideyuki who made his debut with Maria's Stomach in 1990.
