The Tale of King Crab
Today, some still call him a saint, an outcast, or a murderer. Luciano, fueled by his love for the fiery Emma, fought against a Prince, stood for his freedom until he committed the unforgivable. Exiled to the other side of the world, in the hostile Tierra del Fuego, surrounded by ruthless gold diggers, there he might find his way towards salvation in a quest for a legendary treasure.
As the title suggests, this film is a story about legends and myths that are passed down orally. As with all legends, it may not have been real. Perhaps this film is a fantasy, a story created by a crazy man named Luciano who wants to take the audience to Tierra del Fuego, known as the end of the world. The director borrows all possible cinematic forms and genres such as forbidden love, treason, tragedy, and hidden treasures to portray the protagonist's misfortune. The Tale of King Crab is the first feature film co-directed by Alessio Rigo de Righi and Matteo Zoppis about a fable of guilt that grows into an obsession. [Sung MOON]
