Review

This film, one of the early shorts by Chilean director Valeria SARMIENTO, defies the unspoken rule of 1970s cinema that films must talk about politics and class conflict in a didactic yet humble manner. The short presents a group of women performing a striptease at work, showing SARMIENTO 's early establishment of the female gaze, which continues in her vast filmography. Urban legend says that documentary filmmaker Joris Ivens exclaimed, "Oh, finally!" as he watched this film (Sung MOON)
