Three friends attend the same university, but their ideas about our society differ. One morning, they find themselves in a strange situation, spinning around an open manhole.
It all begins when neglect leaves a manhole cover open. While a leftist with a big mouth and a rightist who is too comfortable in capitalism argue above ground, a woman means to explore the substructure beneath the manhole to resolve the rusty leak problem in the pipes. However, what is below is a dreary underground tunnel rather than some truth that exposes the problems in social structure. This film opts to take the perspective of a manhole cover rather than choose either of the sides. Thus, the virtue of this film is the friendly neutralist gesture and easy-to-swallow satire.
