JOY(Ah-yeong) is determined to become a famous YouTuber. However, she feels insignificant compared to the fun, cool, and glamorous lives of the YouTubers she admires. When a threat from her past resurfaces, JOY's phone and another recording device capture her real life.
The movie sheds light on the gap between reality and the ideal experienced by young people. They have no choice but to compare themselves with others. JOY aspires to be a YouTube video creator, making videos of her daily life using a cell phone. sub)SUBSCRIBE TO JOY#daily is filled with loose-angle shots as if the actor made the film. It sits between the boundary of film and non-film, creating confusion in viewers and working properly to show JOY's daily life. Her life unfolds in the opposite direction of her wishes, going through poverty, getting judged by her look, and domestic violence. The director's perspective, which does not easily pity the character, is thoughtful. (JEONG Ji-hye)
