Review

In a village in the Golan Heights between Syria and Israel, Kamel, a respected priest and village leader, had a younger brother, Mustafa, who disappeared during the war with Israel. In a village that is now part of Israel, everything changes one night when someone knocks on the door. His brother, who disappeared 47 years ago has returned, severely wounded. Now Kamel should decide between his duties as a village leader and his blood ties. Syrian director Ehab TARABIEH wanted to make a film about the war with Israel and what happened to his homeland afterwards, and in this his first fiction film, he shows the wounds and conflicts of the people living in the Golan Heights, symbolized by the inwardly conflicted figure, Kamel.
