Overview

Kyung-un, Jin-un, and their mother. They’re just a typical family. Because Mr. Jeon and their mom are engaged, they expect additional family members, Mr. Jeon and his young son, Jeon Do-yeon. On the night of the two families’ first gathering, Kyung-un ponders how her family would address the new family and the possible family name changes. Then she thinks of her father, whom she hasn’t seen since she was seven, and decides to meet him in person.

Review

A daughter and her father had never been close despite their biological connection. After not seeing him since she was seven, Kyung-un visits her father to inform him of her mother's new marriage. To her surprise, she encounters his new family and tries to hide her sadness behind her sunglasses. During this visit, she opens up to her father and expresses her true feelings for the first time. The subtle moments become an image of a loose but connected family. (HONG Jihye)

Born in 1984. She majored in directing at KAFA (30th graduate class). She directed several shorts including Allergy (2013), A Familiar Taste and Hana (2021). In 2017, She made her feature debut with Adulthood (2017).
