In the summertime, a storm threatens to cause the river crossing it to overflow again in a small village in southeastern Spain. Throughout the town, an old popular belief is repeated like a litany. Old belief claims that some women were born with water inside and destined to disappear with the flood. Local teenagers try to survive summer weariness in the village by smoking cigarettes, dancing, and drinking. In this electric atmosphere that precedes the storm, Ana, who dreams of fleeing this village that stinks of death, and José will live a story of summer love.

The long-awaited feature film debut by Elena LÓPEZ RIERA, after a series of famous short films, focuses its story on a female universe ruled by laws as mythical as they are ancient. The story takes place in a town in southern Spain, where local legend says that women are destined to disappear when the river overflows, claiming the body of a woman recently in love. As the next storm approaches, the women of the family (daughter, mother, and grandmother) must once again face the mandates of the past and their ancestral fears.
