Since the death of Jesus, Mary Magdalene has withdrawn from the world. Her hair has turned white, she eats berries, drinks water from the rain, and sleeps among the trees. Alone in the heart of the forest, she remembers her lost love. She looks for a way to find him.
They say Mary Magdalene wandered the woods and caves after Jesus's death. According to the director's imagination, this film brings to life this recluse character. Damien MANIVEL, a genius capturer of actors' movements, asks Elsa Wolliaston, the actress and dancer whom he worked with in his previous film, to follow Mary Magdalene's psyche who became a recluse in nature, putting society behind her. This film does not just tell a story of despair. Rather, it simply follows her footsteps to depict the actress's authentic energy and reactions within her space. Damien MANIVEL, the young writer and director who does not follow the trend and finds his own style, proves his talent again through this film. (Sung MOON)
