Money Exchange!
Pablo and Florencia work on Florida Street, the touristic and financial epicenter of Buenos Aires. Economic difficulties affect their lives together until they find a way to do business by exchanging dollars with their own community of traders. When their boss finds out, their project gets in danger.
Money Exchange! is filled with the love and tension of the youths in pursuit of their dreams in an economic crisis. As Korea experienced the financial crisis, Argentina, in an economic crisis, also is suffering from the strong dollar and soaring inflation. And the worse it all gets, the black market flourishes. Pablo works part-time, handing out flyers in the tourist-filled downtown Buenos Aires, and plays in a band with his friends as part of his dreams to become a musician. One day, he meets Florencia, who wants to study architecture, in a restaurant and falls in love. Pablo pursues another dream of studying abroad in France with Florencia but has no money to support it. When he shares his concerns with his street friends Ricky and Daniella, they suggest he joins them in an illegal dollar exchange job. The streets are filled with people shouting, "Dollar exchange! Dollar exchange!" Pablo has to compete with them to make money, and the pursuit of hitting the jackpot always comes with risks. (CHUN Jinsu)
