Review

Ramona is an aspiring actress and runs into a middle-aged man called Bruno a day before her first audition. She feels an instant connection with him and thinks they've hit it off, but she runs away because she fears her feelings. However, the next day, she learns that Bruno is the director of the work she auditions. She is embarrassed but cannot let this opportunity pass her by. So, with encouragement from her boyfriend, Nico, she decides to work in the movie. Meanwhile, Ramona begins to doubt her life with Nico because of Bruno. RAMONA is a classic love-triangle romantic comedy and a debut feature film by director Andrea BAGNEY. This film also caught the attention of many because it was filmed on film and expressed real life in black and white and the movie scene within the movie in color, giving a classic texture. Above all, Lourdes Hernández, the singer of the band Russian Red and this film's main star, shows such incredible talent that it's almost impossible to believe that this is her first appearance in a feature film. Born in 1986, Madrid, Spain. She studied Modern History and Politics at Royal Holloway (University of London). Her first short film, Max: a Doha Story (2013), was self-produced and served as a school for her. RAMONA was written with the conviction that it would be filmed even if the resources were very scarce. Delayed by the pandemic, RAMONA was finally shot in 2021 in a surreal, post-pandemic Madrid.
