Laura CITARELLA's new feature film, TRENQUE LAUQUEN, shares with her previous films having a leading lady and a look at female universes. But where her previous films focused on the story of a single character, here they branch out into many different women and plots. The director (part of the production company El Pampero Cine, responsible, among others, for the films La Flor (2018) and La Edad Media (2022)), this time seems to share the narrative voracity of her colleagues. Trenque Lauquen, which is the name of a city in the province of Buenos Aires, Argentina, begins with a mystery: the disappearance of a woman, but from this fact, the stories, like the film genres, will accumulate until creating a film as ambitious as it is unique.
