Overview

Sun-hwa lives in Garibong-dong. Gurogongdan, the mecca of industrialization and Garibong-dong, the cultural spot of the factory workers, are turned into a Chinese-Korean town and are now filled with foreign workers.

Review

What lies in the mind that cleans a room before they move out? The film shows a place that will disappear and the people there with warm compassion. This warmth makes the area 'Garivegas,' not Guro Industrial Complex, symbolizing Korea's industrialization era, a precious home for many Sun-hwa. Like that, the film transforms macroscopic history into a special place of memories. That is how it resists being forgotten. (KIM Yoonbeom)
