Overview

Miran, a freshman in high school, trips on the rope while practicing group jump roping for the school field day. Miran’s rookie homeroom teacher, Chaeyeong, replaces her with another student, and Miran feels confused. Next day, Miran trips on the rope again. After arguing with her homeroom teacher, Miran makes a decision that can never be reversed.

Review

High school student Miran and teacher Chaeyeong are two passionate people. Miran did not want to be left behind by her friends, and Chaeyeong wanted her students to excel academically. That is how their two passions collided. At a glance, it is just a typical, straightforward story. However, that is why the story speaks to the universal emotion of the audience. On her way out of the classroom, where Miran argued with Chaeyeong, she faces an iron gate with bars blocking her way. The gate seems massive for her now, but the film's ending cheers for her future so that she can get through the gate. (CHOI Beom-seok)
