Yunseon's day begins with taking food to the cat feeding station in the mountains behind her neighborhood. Her husband, Yunjae, is displeased with Yunseon, who prioritizes the cat's food over her own but pretends to be indifferent and helps her behind the scenes. The two decide to build a house on the empty lot behind the house. The lot is already a hideout for the neighborhood cats. Can they build their house without harming the cats' habitat? Is it possible for humans and animals to build a home together?

Architecture & Cats, directed by Ricky junhyung CHO and LEE Kyuyiol, is a documentary about cafe owner and filmmaker Jung Yunjae, CEO of Beans Road, and his wife, Jang Younsun, while building a new house. The couple builds a new house to expand the cafe and use the leftover land but suffers from the COVID-19 crisis and loan difficulties. Rather than building a house, the couple's conflict is because of the cats. Younsun lives as a street cat guardian, but her husband has conflicting opinions because he is conscious of the stinging gazes on 'cat mom.' Architecture & Cats contemplates how stray cats and people can live together happily while also showing the process of building a house in detail. It is like an 'introduction to architecture' that explains the process thoroughly, from frame construction to formwork, roof concrete pouring, and interior. The film humorously reveals the couples who disagree on each issue through the editing process.
