The film consists of four episodes. Although each episode tells a different story from the others, the last cut of all episodes shows the same format: the close-up of the actor's expression is shown for more than a minute, and the caption THE END appears and ends.
Multi-Artist BEK Hyunjin's first video content, The End, is a unique blend of installation art and film, much like his other work Endless Joke. The film features four distinct stories, each with its setting and characters. However, the film deliberately leaves out contextual information, making it difficult to follow the story. While there might be some contexts and probable reasons, it seems almost impossible to grasp the story's entirety as the film reveals just little bits. However, the powerful performances of actors, including Park Hae-il, Uhm Jiwon, Ryoo Seungbeom, Moon Sori, and OH Kwang-rok bring the narratives to life, making them more plausible. As the subtitle ‘The End’ appears, viewers witness a range of facial expressions that create a universe of multiple narratives, which may belong to a realm that no language can describe. (MOON Seok)
