Overview

Baekho is a child actress who has just started his career and Miho is an MTF transgender gaffer who returned to the field after a long break. The two meet quite often somewhere in the corners of the set.

Review

Transit eloquently describes the determination, overwhelming emotion, and loneliness of the characters standing at a turning point in a quiet manner. The sophisticated sense of the director breathes an elegant atmosphere into the film scene that has become a stage for commotion-drama. And the view that discovers the subtle dynamics of relationships is also trustworthy. In the time of waiting given to individuals behind the camera, the possibility of bond and the discrimination and exclusion tolerated by collective culture is permeated. When the subtle alienation arises from it, the spectrum of light blooms at the fingertips of the transgender lighting engineer, and an aesthetic inspiration contrasts with the shadow of solitude that surrounds the entire film. Born in 1985. She made her acting debut in the short, Nagayo (2015), and directorial debut in the short, Heen Meets Eun (2021). She won the Best Director Prize in Korean Competition for Shorts at the JEONJU IFF 2022 for her second short flim, Transit.
