Getaway
Yuna and Jeongsik, employees of the loan company, enjoy a situational skit. One day, Jeongsik begins a situational play in which he steals a large sum of money and asks Yuna to run away with him to South America. However, Yuna can’t shake the feeling that it may be for real this time.
Much like the random skits by Jeongsik, who knows how to hide his intentions, this film unfolds in a way that makes it completely unpredictable. It’s hard to tell whether the perpetual jokes between them are real or not anymore, and while Yuna dances to Jeongsik’s rhythm as he swims through imagination, she stops at times and looks at ‘us two’ in the backdrop of this vast world with both feet planted in reality. All the while, even the unease and anxiety from the ripples created by this spontaneous pair makes you forget the end of days that shine like morning dew is but a dream that will reach the ends of far waters.
