Review

Amy is visiting Seoul and wants to see her birth mother's face. Amy, who separated from her parents at a young age from adoption, and Eunseon, who recently lost her mother and doesn’t quite know what to do with her absence, kimchi jjigae is their personal connection to their mothers. Their late afternoon walk becomes a vivid memory for one person and an imaginary unknown for the other. This film observes without bias how the two of them work through the riddle of longing in their own ways. (KANG Jin-ah)
