Audrey lives alone in Paris at the home of her recently deceased friend, Juliane. Moving through the days without any sense of purpose, she tries to re-establish her footing in the world by beginning video correspondences with two filmmakers — Burak, who lives in Istanbul, and Blake, who lives in Toronto. *The film is 3D format and will be screened with Laberint Sequences of the Expanded Cinema section.
The director Sofia BOHDANOWICZ once again takes up the story of her character Audrey Benac, always played by Deragh Campbell, but this time she does it in a film made in collaboration with the filmmakers Burak ÇEVIK and Blake WILLIAMS. Audrey moves into the house in Paris of a recently deceased friend and from this place, she establishes an exchange of visual correspondences with two friends from a distance. From these exchanges, between three geographies as different as they are distant (Paris, Türkiye, and Canada), a form of communication is established where the visual formats, 16mm, video, and 3D, will end up giving shape to a work where the collective functions as a tool to endure the solitudes to which the planet was unexpectedly forced. And at the same time, the film explores the possibilities of the visual and virtual world when it comes to shortening distances and healing wounds. (Sung MOON)
