On July 12th, 1969, during the bull run of San Fermín, a bull killed H by goring him in the heart. Today the ghost of H drinks, laughs, and dances in the same streets trying to escape from a body that is coming to an end.
“This is a film that needs to be experienced with your gut, not with your head.” This statement is how Carlos PARDO ROS introduced this film. The film is set at the San Fermín celebrations in Pamplona, Spain; the director follows the murder of his uncle H, by a charging bull, but do not expect the typical plot where family members track a mystery. Instead, the film confirms the director's statement by arranging a series of totally unexpected situations. H is a movie that fills a gap in memory and an investigation into a mystery where fact and fiction intersect each other's space to complete a full circle. Compiling various storytelling and formats of cinema, H leads us to join a wild exploration into the end of the night and also the end of life. (Sung MOON)
