Suwon frequently knocks on Jiho's door with the hope that Jiho, the friend of Suwon's missing son, will have information about where his son is. Though Hyeon-yeong, Jiho's mother, understands Suwon's desperation, she worries how this might affect Jiho. One day, Hyeon-yeong feels that something is off when she hears Jiho has missed Hagwon classes for several days. This film is free from the formulaic blueprint of portraying children as harmless beings or victims of domestic issues and candidly exposes the truth that children are sometimes strangers whom the parents may never fully understand.
