Grade Apeals diligently shapes out the three-dimensional curves of a situation. In short, the story is about a very strongly motivated student who goes to a professor to change their grade, just as the title suggests. The moments of highs and lows on the way toward the ending are structured to create unique tension. We learn two answers through this process. First, changing something isn’t as easy as one thinks. Second, even if something isn’t changed, whether this can truly be called a “correction” is an entirely different problem. What does it mean for something to be “corrected”? The fact that this film, which is shaped by external triggers and throbs with life, exists within a sea of incredibly refined and almost fake-looking films will be exciting for moviegoers. (LEE Bora)
