Young Fedor Ozerov has only just begun his music career but already carries himself with the casual indifference of a seasoned rock star. Living in a communal apartment, his life revolves around hanging out in his room, chatting with his younger sister, writing new songs, and putting together a band. But fate has other plans for him. When the sweater he always wears while composing disappears, he turns detective and sets off on a search that leads him through a city on edge about the potential outbreak of World War III. Throughout this adventure, he meets an assortment of characters, all the while maintaining his unflappable cool attitude. His journey takes unexpected turns, and by the end of the film, the young hero’s story transforms into something like a Greek tragedy. The Swan Song of Fedor Ozerov is much like great rock music—short, memorable, and ultimately unforgettable. (Sung MOON)
