Created by artists in Gaza, this omnibus film marks the first project of the Mashawari Fund for Cinema and Filmmakers in Gaza. It brings together 22 short films, each lasting 3 to 6 minutes, spanning genres from fiction and documentary to stop-motion animation, essay film, experimental video art, and puppetry. Despite their stylistic variety, these works share a common thread: relentless fear and tension, the sound of explosions and gunfire, and the haunting presence of destroyed buildings. Amid unimaginable conditions, these filmmakers picked up their cameras to capture unfiltered life in Gaza—not just to show the fight for survival, but to defend the human dignity. (CHUN Jinsu)
