This film is excerpted from the beginning of Mousoulis' feature Wild and Precious (2012), shot in Europe – but it stands autonomously as a work on its own. An Italian filmmaker (Alessandro Figurelli) holds forth, on a street in Greece, on the social, political and cultural condition of the world around him. We sense his past convictions and ideals, but we also register his current uncertainty and confusion: “I'm a nowhere man in a nowhere land.” However, he senses a genuine evolution emerging from the increasing public demonstrations and new, expressive forms of resistance. Into the Wild is a strong 'monologue film' from Mousoulis, punctuated by vivid reportage footage. (Adrian MARTIN | Film Critic)
