Overview

Seoul, 1994. 14-year-old Eunhee floats through life like an island. Deprived of attention from her family, she wanders the city, giving her heart to anyone who might love her. When Yongji, a new teacher, arrives, she becomes the first adult to understand her.

She graduated from Dongguk University's Department of Film and Video and Columbia University's Graduate Film School in New York. House of Hummingbird (2019) won the Pitch & Catch Grand Prize Mega Box Award at the Seoul International Women's Film Festival, received independent film production support from the Korean Film Council, Seoul Film Council, and Seongnam Cultural Foundation, was selected for the IFP Narrative Lab in the US, and received post-production support from the Sundance Film Festival. House of Hummingbird (2019) is her feature debut, based on her previous short film The Recorder Exam (2011).
