Born in 1942. He made his debut as a writer by winning the annual spring literary contest with Love with My Whole Body (1973). After that, he won the prize three times more at the same contest. In 1972, he directed his first film, Love with My Whole Body as a debut film and got the credit for his characterful ability to direct films through making Myonyeo (1974) and Wood and Swamp (1975) etc. For 20 years, he had directed various films. In addition, he also had participated in lots of film productions as a screen writer. With all these credits, he had built the world of his works. Also, he published the essay about films and literature in 1998.
