Born in Rome in 1969. He graduated with a degree in political science, and followed that up in 1998 with a degree in directing at the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia.He made his feature film debut in 2004 with Saimir(2004) and his second feature film The Rest of the Night (2008) was S\\ed for the Directors’ Fortnight at the Cannes. His film Black Souls(2014), which won nine David di Donatello awards and three Silver Ribbons.
