A short triology depicting a man and woman walking along the riverbed. The film excludes close-up shots and excessive explanation which is a usual form of these days’ films. Instead, it frequently uses long shots and completes its bold directing.
A short story in three parts following a man and a woman walking along the riverbank. In the long shot scenes, nothing seems to happen but captures the daily life with extraordinary tension. In the film, the activity of watching does not emerge from rush by external factors but secretly erupts from calm and careful gaze which looks ordinary from the outside. Director Ikeda displays talent to turn the mood from ordinary to extraordinary. [KIM Youngjin]
