Born in 1970 in Hamburg, Germany. Studied Directing at the Media School and then Screenwriting at the German Film and Television Academy. He was awarded the Eurovision Prize for his script of [#i_]Am Tag als Bobby Ewing starb[_i#](2005). His directorial debut [#i_]Neandertal[_i#](2008) was released in 2008 and was followed by[#i_] Sohnemanner [_i#](2012). [#i_]The Chambermaid Lynn[_i#], an adaptation of a novel by Markus Orths, is his third feature.
