100 Films 100 Posters

100 Films 100 Posters X 10 Exhibition
100 Films 100 Posters is a film poster exhibition event that was held every year since 2015 at the JEONJU International Film Festival, where 100 graphic designers create their own film posters for 100 screenings to be displayed in galleries and Jeonju Film Street during the festival. 100 Films 100 Posters is an extraordinary collaboration event between the film industry and the graphic design industry that cannot be found in any other film festivals. It is recognized as an unique event of JEONJU International Film Festival and also is an exhibition that attracts a lot of attention not only from the domestic and foreign film industry, but also from the graphic design field. The film posters in this event are created with designers' free interpretation of the film, without the traditional and commercial pressure of the usual film posters, making them become the unique creations only seen at the JEONJU International Film Festival. 100 Films 100 Posters is a symbolic exhibition event program at the JEONJU International Film Festival that shows the festival's own unique identity. This year as celebration of its 10th anniversary, a special tourism program 100 Films 100 Posters X 10 is held with a special exhibition format by expanding the space and exhibition period from the previous festivals, in collaboration with the Tourism Hub City Jeonju.

Hangul gathered here were functional characters inserted into the poster, but by being extracted from the original piece and rearranged, they take the new character as a contemporary atmosphere of the form of Hangul. This exhibition was also curated with attention to the location, which is in Wanpanbon Cultural Center andJeonjuhyanggyo Local Confucian School Cultural Center, and also pays respect to Hangul, the great cultural heritage that lightened Korea's everlasting archiving culture.
