Where to find the hottest movies of the moment! The competition for festival tickets is always fierce. The 24th JEONJU IFF was no exception, with a record number of tickets sold out as soon as online ticketing opened. While some people could get tickets to their favorite films, others were unsuccessful due to a one-second timing error. I'm sure there are some 🥲... Today's newsletter is for you!

JEONJU IFF is not only fun inside the theater but also outside! First up is the Street Screening program.
From April 28 to May 5, Street Screening will be held at 8 pm and 8:30 pm respectively in various unique spaces around Jeonju. If you want a romantic way to enjoy the cool night air and a film together, why not visit the Jeonju Film Streer or Nambu Market Sky Garden? The film at Street Screening is free to watch, and audiences are welcomed on a first-come, first-served basis!

Want to watch a movie and enjoy a performance together? Join JEONJU Cinetour's JEONJU Cine X Walk, a new program at the JEONJU IFF this year. You can enjoy local musicians' performances and film screenings in various outdoor spaces around Jeonju! The fact that the JEONJU Cine X Walk films were selected in collaboration with Cine21, Korea's only specialized film magazine, is even more convincing!
The best part is that it continues even after the festival ends! Until May 20, a variety of musicians and artworks will be performing! Performances start at 19:20, and film screenings begin at 20:00, and just like the Street Screenings, it's free to attend, first come, first served.

The volunteer is here to introduce another secret weapon that can only be found at JEONJU IFF. If you've been following JEONJU IFF for a long time, you'll recognize the exhibition, The 9th 100 Films 100 Posters Exhibition, and here's what Volunteer had to say about it🎨.

The 9th 100 Films 100 Posters Exhibition is a movie poster exhibition, and the event started in 2015. It is an event where 100 films from the JEONJU IFF screenings are selected, and 100 graphic designers create a movie poster each. The 100 movie posters created are then exhibited at the Factory of Contemporary Arts in Palbok during the festival!
The 100 Films 100 Posters Exhibition is free of movie poster conventions and commercial pressures! Here you will find posters containing the movie's essence as freely interpreted by graphic designers. They are one-of-a-kind creations that can only be seen at JEONJU IFF!

Upon entering the Factory of Contemporary Arts in Palbok, you see 100 posters designed this year. Each poster has a distinct personality, and we had a lot of fun guessing which movie it was for! The poster also piqued my curiosity and anticipation for the screenings. If you saw an impressive film at this year's festival, you might want to look for its poster in this exhibition 👀.

Once you've seen all 100 posters, if you see one you like, you can buy one! We also have postcard sets, eco-bags, and sketchbooks, so taking home your favorite merchandise is a great way to enjoy the festival.
